Coney Island and the Brooklyn Half Marathon

Thanks to Caitlin who ran in the Brooklyn Half with me! (Sorry Brandi next time we will run together!) Thanks to the McGills for cheering for us at the finish line. Thanks to Tory for riding his bike beside us cheering us on the entire run. And thanks to Tony and Aldo for making it to Coney Island (needless to say they had major train problems)! It was an adventure and a fairly hard run, but I made it to the finish line in 2 hours 43 minutes. I am glad it's over BUT very proud of myself!!

11 weeks old

Aldo was 11 weeks old on Memorial Day. He is really becoming alert these days! Every morning he wakes up at either 5 or 6 and just smiles!! It is the best feeling to see him smile. Other favorite Aldo moments are: seeing him try to sing when his daddy plays the guitar, the success he feels when he finds his hands, the look in his eyes when we take walks and he discovers new things- today he loved looking at the trees, the way he can lay with one fist in the air for hours, when he cries because his fist is too big to fit all the way in his mouth, and finally when he looks me in the face and I just know he knows I am his mommy!

Saturday Night Fun

This is Aldo's idea of spring cleaning- sleeping through all 3 hours of it!

Jodi, Tony, Wryder, Dennis and Caitlin came over on Saturday. It was a far cry from a year ago when what was suppose to be a game night actually was- now our game night consisted of watching the two little ones. Wrdyer was loving Aldo while Aldo was not sure what to make of Wryder. He did enjoy licking Wrdyer's nose but found no milk in it- haa haa.

One word- "STUD"

This hat is too big for him now but how cute does he look! He popped his collar just like his Uncle Tony and cousin Wryder!

1st Braves Game

Tony, Aldo and I (and two of Tony's co-workers) went to the Braves/Mets game at the new beautiful Citi Mets Stadium! Aldo did great (as you can see he slept most of the game)! It was his first taste of what is to come with his daddy's craze for the Braves!!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day (thanks to Tony)! We enjoyed brunch, a day in the park, and then watched my favorite show The Amazing Race while eating my favorite NY style pizza! To cap it all off Tony cleaned the bathroom! (which he does normally but it was late and I thought it was so sweet of him) Aldo gave mommy a very sweet card as well. All in all it was the best Mother's Day I could have asked for! I have two men in my life that I would do anything for and love unconditionally- I am the luckiest girl alive! I love you Tony and baby Aldo! Thanks for making my Mother's Day one to remember!

Go Braves

Aldo and daddy put on their Braves gear last night to watch the Braves/Mets game! Even though the Braves lost it was so cute seeing mini Tony wanting to be just like his daddy!

South Carolina Visit

Aldo had lots of people to visit while down south. He was a perfect angel the entire trip. I can't believe he is almost 2 months old this week! We go to the doctor again on Monday for his first set of shots- I can't wait to see how much he weighs. Almost everyone says he looks about 6 months old! He is our little chunky monkey!

Love JetBlue Hate JetBlue

Aldo experienced his first plane ride last week to SC. Flying on JetBlue- we were pleasantly surprised that we had an empty seat beside us which meant that I could bring Aldo in his car seat! He slept the whole way. I can't even count how many people commented on his hair and how big he is! YES- he is a big boy- YES he has a great head of hair!! On the return flight I made a huge mistake- at the terminal the flight had been delayed because of mechanical problems. After three hours waiting I just booked another flight for the next morning and got a free hotel room- what was I thinking? I just thought in the heat of all the madness that I better get a secure flight home if that flight was going to be canceled. So after getting to the Holiday Inn with baby in tow i learned that the flight had actually taken off- I was so upset. But I could do nothing but eat terrible room service and ration out Aldo's diapers until we had to wake up at 4:30 am the next morning. ugh....All in all- Aldo was the star! He was such an amazing traveling partner!!
