Just about 38 weeks!

Just got home from Dr. Jew's office for our check-up. We had our first internal exam which was a little painful but not unbearable. Everything is on track- Dr. Jew doesn't think he will come this week but no one knows but baby Aldo! We have about 2 1/2 weeks left and everyday I am going to think "maybe today." Don't worry I will let you all know when the true time has come! (Check out the belly now- 30 lbs and counting- starting to get uncomfortable and swollen- ugh!)

Valentine's Day

I was so happy to hear that Tony was FINALLY going to take me to an Indian restaurant. Since living in Nepal I have a constant craving for Nepali/Indian food that will not suffice. In the almost 3 years since meeting Tony we have never gone to one of these places. So off we go to the lower east side where the mecca of Indian places are- we found a restaurant called Banjara. We thought it was weird that they didn't take our name but what the heck it's an adventure. We were seated and it took about 10 minutes for menus. The two servers were running around with their heads cut off not knowing what the other was doing- I guess the Indian way. We finally ordered and our daal, chicken tika masla, and garlic naan. It was all very good but the service sucked. It took another 30 minutes to get our check and then finally we got out of there. I was so happy that Tony liked the meal and that he even might go again. After getting home my issues started- I started thinking, "oh no Nepal all over again." I was not nausea but it was coming out the other way. After 24 hours of this I called the doctor and he advised us to go to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital to get an IV of fluids, the baby was checked, my blood and urine was checked- all was okay. The next day Tony was home sick with a migraine. Needless to say, we won't be going back for Indian anytime soon (or ever Tony says).

We are a little over 3 weeks away from the birth of our son and can't wait. We are so excited!!

Aldo's Room!

We are about 5 weeks away from the birth of our first child and 'boy' are we excited! Tony has had full range in the creation, decoration, purchasing, and implementation of Aldo's room. I just want to thank him for an amazing job- I love you baby! We were also lucky enough to get some help from two special people. We would like to thank Mrs. Bagnulo for her handiwork and craftsmanship in making the crib bedding and the curtains. They have really made the room complete! We would also like to thank Mr. Zimmerman for the rug! He was able to order the material we liked, have it bound and shipped to us. It has made the room a lot more comfortable (and quiet for our neighbors)! We still want to get some type of shelves, however, this is about it for now. Now it's time to relax and take advantage of our quiet time together. We will relish these last weeks as a pair but can not wait to expand our family come March!!!
