33 weeks and counting!!

I am now 33 weeks! I can't believe two things 1) that is takes this long to create a baby and 2) that it only takes this long to create a baby. Tony and I have been busy getting Aldo's room ready. We are missing a few things like a rocker and shelves but we have the main necessities in place! Let's see what else has been going on.....We recently took an infant CPR class and this Sunday we are taking a breastfeeding course. Other than not getting a good night sleep because Aldo is kicking up a storm the pregnancy has been going great. We return to doctor Jew's office on Tuesday for our 8 1/2 month check up. I will give another update then. Hopefully we can find out if March 14th is going to be showtime or if things have changed! Here are my 33 week belly pictures:

Day #3- Gibb and Marina in the Big Apple

Today did not snow but it was freezing out! I took the day off work to spend with Gibb and Marina- we first attempted to withstand the cold at the famous Shake Shack! The heaters were not on so we just got a strawberry shake "to go". We then saw the movie Defiance, which was much better than yesterdays Doubt. Finally we met up with Tony for a sushi dinner near the house at Haru. We loved having Gibb and Marina here and will truly miss them when they leave tomorrow.

Night #2: Gibb and Marina in the Big Apple

Gibb and Marina have really seen the snowy version of New York today (it snowed from sun up to sun down)! We woke up late- had brunch- went to a matinee movie (Doubt- we don't recommend it)- then went to a Top Chef restaurant called Perilla. If anyone has seen Top Chef season 1- Perilla was opened by the winner, Harold Dieterle. The food was great. After a brief walk by Washington Square Park we are now ending the evening watching Tony and Gibb enjoy some Oban 18.

Gibb and Marina Arrive in the Big Apple

Gibb and Marina arrived yesterday (Sunday, Jan. 18th). We went straight to Rosa Mexicana for dinner with the McGills- Jodi, Tony, Wryder, Dennis and Sarah. It was so nice to have dinner together after a year- Gibb and Marina look great and are excited for their new adventures in Germany. They leave NYC on Wednesday so more pictures to follow.

Computer Broken

My computer is broken at the moment so there will be no pictures until I can get up to Best Buy to figure out the problem. Here is an update on what's going on:

*We went to SC and GA for the holidays and enjoyed every minute......We were able to visit tons of family and friends. My mom, Aunt Pat, and Ida threw us a baby shower on the 30th! It was so nice to be around loved ones to celebrate Aldo's upcoming birth!

*Tony and I went to see Dr. Jew yesterday for my 7 1/2 month visit. Another sonogram showed our little man- he is so cute! I am on track with everything so far: weight gain, blood work, etc. We had a fairly uneventful visit. I feel great and have about two more months until we are finally holding our baby boy!

*My brother, Gibb, finally made it home safe after a year in Iraq. We are eager to see he and Marina in about a week- they will be coming to NYC Jan. 18th. After they travel for a bit they will be shipping out for Germany, where Gibb will be stationed for about 3 years. I can not wait to see he and Marina!!!!

That's about it for now......more to come.....
